By the conclusion of the 10 week period: you will be more informed on all of the following aspects of your potential/current business:
1) Business Title/Name
2) What do you sell/produce? Give your up to 2 minute Elevator pitch
3) Business Structure? Sole Proprietor, Partnership, LLC, Corporation, etc. (If you don’t have a business already started, then state what type of business structure you would choose for your company?
4) What True Colors “Color” are you? What are your “color” qualities? How does this new learning add to your understanding of your strengths and needs? How will you use this new learning in your business management?
5) What are Industry groups you can join to network and learn more about your field?
6) How does your business compare to your industry peers/competition?
7) What will your business offer that is unique or different from your present competition? Have you surveyed potential customers for your business? What is your customer demographics?
8) What traditional and new social media marketing will you include in your marketing plan?
a. What social media will you utilize? Example – facebook, twitter, youtube, etc)?
b. What traditional marketing tools? Newspaper, TV/CABLE, newsletters, regular mail, etc.
9) What have you learned about your competition/or others in your industry that you will give you further insight to champion your own business?
10) Is your company involved in International Trade? If the answer is yes, how so?
11) What “gem” did you take from the Business Law Speaker?
Guidelines for Graduation presentation:
You will be interviewed on the first and second to last day of the program in order to see how far you have come. On the day of the Graduation, you will be giving a 3-5 minute presentation (with powerpoint assitance) on your current/potential business idea.
